Animal welfare is a key concern for me and the Greens/EFA Group. We fully agree that live animals for slaughter should never be transported for more than eight hours. This is why I support the Written Declaration 49/2011 as well as the 8 hours campaign with my signature. I want to invite everybody to become active for the sake of animal welfare and to support the 8 hours campaign, so animals won’t need to suffer anymore!
